Language proficiency

As the study programs MBM and MFIN are offered in collaboration with Plymouth, we uphold their English language requirements for the enrolment. For more information go to their website.

Only in exceptional cases can students be exempted from having to hand in an English language certificate. This will only be approved after providing us with sufficient reason why you should be exempted. We will discuss your situation with Plymouth to see if an exemption can be granted. Use the 'additional remarks' and 'additional documents' fields at the bottom of this page to provide us with reason and proof why you should be exempted.

Please note that we do not accept any tests taken online. All tests must be taken at a test center.

It is mandatory for your visa application to submit a CV por Resume and a motivational letter. Please upload it as one PDF.

The motivational letter should have been written by you in person and cover at leas the following topics:

describe your current personal situation
why do you want to study at the given study program
why do you want to study at Fontys University in Venlo
why do you think you are a fit candidate for the study program of your choice
how will you be funding the tuition fees and the living expenses
where do you plan on living during your studies in Venlo

Your CV should at least cover the following topics:

All activities up until and including this month (education and career related)
Your marital status
At least 2 references with contactinformation
